Tata Projects secures 400 kV D/C transmission line project from PGCB

Tata Projects has secured a 400 kV double circuit (D/C) transmission line project at Bangladesh.

The project, valued at about Rs 9 billion was secured from Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Limited (PGCB). It is a 120 km length line from Barapukuria to Bogura which has been secured on a turnkey basis. The project will be executed in 30 months and Export-Import (EXIM) Bank India will fund under the Indian Line of Credit. The transmission line will result in the expansion of high voltage transmission infrastructure in northern Bangladesh and also facilitate 1600 MW power transmission from a power plant in Jharkhand, India, to Bangladesh.
