Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) is setting up a 50 MW solar power plant in Sambalpur, Odisha.
The total cost of the project is Rs 3.02 billion. MCL has placed a turnkey order with Hild Energy Limited to set up the project. The plant will be established within a timeline of 10 months. It would cater to the captive power requirements of MCL and is expected to offset carbon dioxide emissions by 91,020 tonnes per annum.
