Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Private Limited has inaugurated its second wind turbine system in Bhanvad in Dwarka district of Gujarat, around 350 km from the company’s Vithalapur plant. It entailed an investment of Rs 176 million. Honda will now produce a total 4.7 MW of wind energy, including its first wind turbine system of 2 MW capacity, installed in Radhanpur in Patan district of Gujarat. Honda will meet over 50 per cent of the total energy requirements at its four manufacturing plants in Manesar (Haryana), Tapukara (Rajasthan), Narsapura (Karnataka) and Vithalapur (Gujarat) from renewable energy resources.
