Greenko forms JV with John Cockerill for green hydrogen electrolyzers

Greenko Group has signed an agreement to set up a joint venture (JV) with Belgium-based John Cockerill for electrolysers, as part of its green hydrogen and ammonia manufacturing plans.

John Cockerill is a manufacturer of high-capacity alkaline electrolysers which will be supplied exclusively to Greenko ZeroC, a unit of Greenko Group. The group will also set up a 1 million tonnes per annum ammonia manufacturing plant for exports that require 2 GW of electrolysers. Greenko ZeroC and John Cockerill will collaborate in all spheres of market evolution for green hydrogen electrolysers. India plans to soon call bids for building 4 GW of electrolyser capacity as part of its energy security strategy.
