JGC secured EPC contract for works on a 94 MWp solar project in the Philippines

JGC Philippines Incorporated (JGC) has secured a PHP4.5 billion engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract from Aboitiz Power Corporation for works on a 94 MWp solar project in the Philippines.

The project will be constructed on a 196-hectare site in the Pangasinan province. JGC will conduct engineering and design work in conjunction with site investigation. Construction on the project will begin in December 2021 and is scheduled to commence commercial operations by Q4 of 2022. Once operational, the solar facility is expected to generate approximately 147 million kWh of renewable energy annually. Majority of the facility’s capacity will be leased for retail electricity supply and will expand the availability of sustainable energy across the Philippines.
