SECI’s solar auction gets lowest tariff of Rs 2.17 per kWh

Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited’s (SECI) solar auction for 1,785 MW of solar power projects (Tranche IV) in Rajasthan received a lowest tariff of Rs 2.17 per kWh.

NTPC Limited, Sprng Energy, UPC Renewables, Metka EGN Singapore Pte, ReNew Power, and ACME Solar were declared winners in the auction. NTPC Renewable Energy Limited won a capacity of 500 MW, Sprng Energy Natural Power Source won 200 MW, Calpine Subsico Solar Energy (a special purpose vehicle of UPC Renewables) won 90 MW, and Metka EGN Singapore Pte won 20 MW, each quoting Rs 2.17 per kWh. In addition, ReNew Solar Power won 600 MW and ACME Solar was allotted 375 MW, both of which had quoted Rs 2.18 per kWh.
