NEA operationalises 132 kV Modi–Laha Chowk line

The state-owned power utility, Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), has operationalised the 132 kV New Modi (Parbat)–Laha Chowk (Kaski) line.

The line has been charged by connecting a 30 MVA power transformer at a 132/33 kV substation in Laha Chowk. The Machhapuchhre and Annapurna rural municipalities of Kaski will receive electricity from the completed substation.Under the project, 68 towers have been constructed in this section and 21 km of line has been laid under the New Modi–Lekhnath project, with a concessional loan from Exim Bank of India.
