Gen X Energy and ACE Enexor to co-develop a combined cycle power plant in the Philippines

Gen X Energy and ACE Enexor have announced plans to jointly develop a 1,100 MW combined cycle power plant project in the Philippines with the capability to use both natural gas and green hydrogen as its fuel.

The plant will be built in the Batangas Bay Area, close to the load centre of Metro Manila.The project is expected to provide reliable power supply to the grid to cater to the growing energy demand in the country and reduce dependence on coal-fired power generation. Further details about the green hydrogen component of the scheme have not been released.
