Shell to upgrade EV charging stations in Malaysia and Singapore, expand to Thailand

Shell has announced plans to extend and upgrade its current electric vehicle (EV) charging network in Singapore and Malaysia with plans to expand into Thailand.

The company has partnered with Porsche Asia Pacific to modernise and upgrade current charging stations along the North-South Highway.Under the partnership, six EV charging stations in Malaysia will be equipped with 180 kW direct-current (DC) chargers. The companies will also install high-performance charging station to replace the current facilities in the country.Both firms have also announced plans to expand their charging networks to Thailand, which will include the installation of additional EV charging stations around Bangkok and other high potential cities.
