SJVN to develop 10 GW solar projects in Rajasthan

SJVN Limited has submitted a letter of intent (LoI) to develop solar power projects of 10,000 MW capacity over the next five years in Rajasthan.

SJVN intends to establish 10,000 MW renewable energy (RE) projects and parks on the land banks to be allocated by Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited. An investment of Rs 500 billion is proposed for developing these projects. The LoI was duly acknowledged by the Government of Rajasthan with assurances of full support for the same. Rajasthan receives the highest solar radiation and also has the highest number of over 325 clear sunny days in a year. All these factors work in favour of developing these projects.
