The technology is expected to ensure transparency and bring down corruption. ERP would establish best business practices, standardise and unify business process across CIL and its subsidiaries. ERP in CIL has been implemented in two phases. In the first phase, it was implemented at CIL headquarters and two subsidiaries Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) and Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), the second phase of implementation was in remaining six subsidiaries.
