Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) havesigned a memorandum of understanding (MoU)for cooperation and collaboration in the field of renewable energy (RE), electric mobility, and alternative fuels including the development of environmental, social, and governance (ESG)projects
The MoU has been signed to realise green energy objectives and the government’s efforts towards carbon-neutral economy. SECI is engaged in the promotion and development of various RE resources, especially solar/wind energy, RE-based storage systems, waste to energy, trading of power, research and development projects as well as RE base products like green hydrogen, green ammonia, RE powered electric vehicle, among others.
