Two new solar parks of 1,800MW capacity will be developed in Jaisalmer and Bikaner districts of Rajasthan.
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has accordedapproval to develop the 800MW solar park in Jaisalmer through Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RVUNL) and the 1,000MW solar park in Bikaner through Rajasthan Solar Park Development Company Limited, a subsidiary of Rajasthan Renewable Energy CorporationLimited. Both these parks would be developed under Mode 8 of the central government’s scheme.
