IEX achieves 29 per cent y-o-y growth in February 2022

The Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) has recorded 8,760 MU volume in February 2022 across all market segments, achieving a year-on-year (y-o-y) growth rate of 29 per cent.

IEX has recorded a volume of 7,695 MU in the conventional power market, 453 MU in the green power market and 612 MU in the renewable energy certificate (REC) market. The day-ahead market (DAM) recorded a of volume at 5,612 MU, a 9.5 per cent y-o-y growth with the average market clearing price at Rs4.44 per unit. The term-ahead market (TAM) traded 527 MU registering 22 per cent y-o-y growth. Meanwhile, the real-time market achieved 1,556 MU volume recording a 39 per cent y-o-y growth with the average monthly price at Rs4.35 per unit. In the green power market, 191 MUswere traded in the green DAMmarket, and 262 MUswere traded in the green TAM market.
