The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has granted an additional three month time-extension in the scheduled commissioning date (SCD) of wind power projects due to supply chain disruptions caused post-Covid and monsoon related disruptions
The ministry has decided that for wind power projects for which the power purchase agreement wassigned and orders for wind turbine generator (WTG) were placed before June 15, 2021, the implementing agencies can allow an additional time extension upto three month in the SCD.The extension will be considered on a case-to-case basis after due diligence and careful consideration of the specific circumstances of the case.
