Three solar parks planned in Odisha

The central government has approved three solar parks with a cumulative capacity of 340MW for Odisha under the solar park scheme.

A 40 MW solar park has beenplanned atLandeihill village in Ganjam, Odisha. There will also be two floating parks. The first with a 200 MW capacity has been planned atthe Rengali reservoir, whereas the other floating park will be of 100 MW capacity, the details for which are unknown. NHPC Limited has already acquired 176 acres for Landeihill villagepark and finalised the engineering, procurement, and construction contractor for the implementation of the project. Further,a 10MW solar power project has also been sanctioned as part of the project to solarise the Konark Temple in Kalahandi, Odisha.
