The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has released the CERC (Payment of Fees) (Third Amendment) Regulations, 2022.
As per the amendment, the transmission licensee including the deemed transmission licensee will furnishthe audited statement of annual transmission charges for preceding financial year along with the audited certificate of the licence fee payable during the corresponding financial year by July 15th of each year. While providing such details, the amount received as reimbursement of licence fees and amount or charges received for services other than transmission services will not be included. The differential licence fee payable, if any, will be deposited by July 15thof each year. Further, the amendment has added that an over the counter (OTC)platform registered under the CERC (Power Market) Regulations, 2020 shall pay Rs 0.20 million towards annual registration charge by April 30 of each year.
