EKI Energy Services Limited (EKI) and Shell Overseas Investments B.V. (The Netherlands), a unit of Shell plc have floated a joint venture (JV) company to develop Nature-based Solutions (NBS) in India.
As a part of their JV, a company is incorporated with the name Amrut Nature Solutions Private Limited,with a registered office in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The JV will provide consultancy/advisory services to develop NBS projects such as forests, sustainable agriculture, mangroves amongst others, to generate carbon credits for international voluntary or compliance carbon markets.The JV will follow high-quality standards and prominent greenhouse gas (GHG) mechanisms to quantify and certify the impact they create with its project activities.
