First Gen Corporation has launched an integrated electric vehicle (EV) pilot named the GreenWheels Project at its Clean Energy Complex in Batangas City, Philippines.
Under the project, the company has deployed a fast-charging station with capacity to accommodate multiple EVs. The charging station will be solar-powered and will be able to charge an EV battery in 40 minutes. Nissan LEAF will serve as the test vehicle during the pilot run. If the pilot-testing proves to be a feasible strategy for lowering carbon emissions, First Gen will roll out this model at other company sites in the Philippines.
