Sri Lanka’s CEB invites bids for Kerawalapitiya– Colombo Port transmission line project

Sri Lanka’s state-owned power utility, Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), has invited international bids for construction of the 220 kV Kerawalapitiya–Colombo Port underground cable (UGC) project.

The scope of work entails the procurement of plant design, supply, and installation for construction of UGC from the Kerawalapitiya switching station to the Colombo Port grid substation. The project is being funded by Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) under the Kerawalapitiya–Port 2nd Transmission Line Project. The submission deadline for bids is June 8, 2022.
