OIL signs incubation agreement with a start-up for promoting hydrogen mobility solutions in Northeast

Oil India Limited (OIL) has entered into an incubation agreement with Ohm Clean Tech Private Limited for the design, integration, and development of a 9-M hydrogen fuel cell powered e-Bus as well as a liquid organic hydrogen carrier (LOHC) solution.

The start-up will be mentored and supported by IIT-Guwahati. OIL has already started a pilot project for hydrogen generating and blending. It is presently supporting this start-up in the fields of hydrogen storage, transportation, and mobility solutions. This will open the doors for a hydrogen economy in the northeast. It is expected that after the successful completion of these two hydrogen energy collaborations, OIL in collaboration with the start-up, would be able to run a hydrogen fuel cell powered e-bus in northeast India in a short period of time.
