The State High Level Clearance Committee (SHLCC) of Karnataka has approved a slew of industrial projects worth Rs 114.95 billion.This includes Rs 60.02billion investment from Exide Industries, which will set up lithium-ion cell manufacturing giga factories for advanced cell chemistry technology near Bengaluru airport.
The other major projects are Rs 10.50 billion investment in lithium-ion cell manufacturing near Malurtaluk in Kolar by Nsure Reliable Power Solutions Private Limited; Rs 6.79 billion project by JSW Renewable Energy (Vijayanagar) Limited to generate 130 MW hydro power in Ballari district; Rs 5.30 billion investment by Web Works India Private Limited to open data services centre at KR Puram; and Rs 22.31 billion investment by Tetrarch Developers Limited in social infrastructure activities at Phase-2 of Hi-tech Defence and Aerospace Park near Bengaluru airport, among others.
