Malaysian Rohas Tecnic receives USD14.5 million contract from NEA

Malaysia-based construction engineering company, Rohas Tecnic Bhd’s subsidiary HG Power Transmission Sdn Bhd (HGPT), has received a contract worth USD14.56 million from the state-owned electric company Nepal Energy Authority (NEA).

It is funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and was secured in open international tender. The contract is for the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 132 kV transmission lines and conductor upgrading in Nepal. The contract has a 2.5-year tenure and is expected to commence in the third quarter of 2022.
