The Power Ministerhas invited all major German companies to invest in India as the country has emerged as the most attractive destination for investment in renewable energy sector.
The minister informed, India’s plans that will create significant opportunities in offshore wind. The country plans to have a capacity of 30 GW of offshore wind. Also, the ministerinvited German companies to participate and compete in manufacturing of high efficiency solar cells and modules of which India is going to set up 50 GW capacity.As Germany will need to import large quantities of green hydrogen and green ammonia on their path to energy transition, hence, India invited them to source their requirements from India.
