SJVN bags its first wind-solar hybrid project worth Rs 1.95 billion from SECI

SJVN Limited has bagged its first-ever 30 MW wind-solar hybrid project in a tender floated by Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI).

The company has bagged the project at Rs 2.54 per unit on a build-own-and-operate basis in the tariff-based competitive bidding process. The tentative cost for the construction and development of the project is Rs 1.95 billion and the project is expected to generate 79 MUs in the first year. On a cumulative basis, approximately 1,860 MUs would be generated over a period of 25 years. The power purchase agreement (PPA) will be signed between the company and SECI for 25 years. The project is expected to be commissioned within a period of 18 months from the date of signing of PPA.
