SJVN Limited has bagged a 90 MW floating solar project worth Rs 5.85 billion at Omkareshwar, Khandwadistrict,Madhya Pradesh.
The company has secured the project at the rate of Rs 3.26 per unit on build-own-operate basis in a tender floated by REWA Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL). Once commissioned, the project will generate 219 MUs in the first year and 5,158 MUsover a period of 25 years.The power purchase agreement (PPA) will be signed between RUMSL and SJVN for 25 years.The project will be commissioned within a period of 15 months from the date of signing of PPA.After commissioning, theproject is expected to reduce 252,737 tonnes of carbon emission.
