Saint-Gobain and Sembcorp sign deal for green powercapacity building

Saint-Gobain India and Sembcorp Green Infra Limited’ssubsidiary Green Infra Wind Energy Limited (GIWEL) have partnered to sign a long-term wind-solar hybrid energy supply agreement

Sembcorp will supply 33 MW of locally sourced renewable power to Saint-Gobain’s manufacturing facilities in Sriperumbudur, Perundurai and Tiruvallur, over the next 25 years. Under the deal, Sembcorp will supply wind and solar energy to Saint-Gobain through a special purpose vehicle, in which GIWELwill hold a 74 per cent stake, andthe remainder stake will be held by Saint-Gobain India.
