The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has issued the Draft Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Conduct of Business) Regulations, 2022.
The regulationwill extend to whole of India and will come into effect from April 1, 2022.All proceedings whether pending before or instituted after the date of commencement of these regulations will be governed by these regulations. The CERC (Conduct of Business) Regulations, 1999 alongwith all amendments and CERC (Procedure for making of application for determination of tariff, publication of the applicable and other related matters) Regulations, 2014 will stand repealed from the date of commencement of these regulations. The commission has invited comments and suggestions on the draft by June 20, 2022.
