NTPC floats a tender for the supply of EV chargers

Under the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles (FAME II) programme, NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVN) has issued a request for proposals for the supply of electric vehicle (EV) chargers for public charging infrastructure in cities.

The scope of work includes manufacturing or sourcing, testing, inspection, supply, installation, and commissioning of 1,670 EV chargers in 267 charging stations in Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Under the annual maintenance contract, the scope of work includes providing three years of full on-site warranty for all chargers, as well as an additional seven years of comprehensive on-site maintenance services for all chargers except Bharat AC 001 and Bharat DC 001 chargers. The bid submission deadline is June 8, 2022. As per the tender guidelines, to be eligible for the bidding process, the bidders must pay Rs 22,500 towards the cost of bidding documents and provide an earnest money deposit of Rs 10 million. The bidders must have manufactured, supplied, and installed off-board EV DC chargers with a cumulative capacity of at least 50 kW. One of these EV DC chargers must be 15 kW or higher.
