Assam government has inaguated the 70 MW Amguri solar park in Sivasagar district of Assam.
The Rs 3 billion project has been executed by Jackson Power Private Limited as solar power developer, along with the Assam Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGCL) acting as solar power park developer. At present only 50 MW capacity of the project could be commissioned due to a land dispute over a section of the 340-acre plot of land. The remaining 20 MW will be commissioned after some time. The state plans to commission four more solar power projects with 25 MW generation capacity each soon in different parts of Assam.
