State-owned Electricity of Vietnam’s (EVN) subsidiary, National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), has completed the construction works of the 500 kV Quang Trach– Doc Soi line and the Quang Trach 500 kV distribution yard.
The Quang Trach – Doc Soi 500kV power line project is invested by EVNNPT and assigned Central Project Management Board (CPMB) to manage and operate the project. The project commenced in December 2018. The project includes 500.14-km, double circuit, 500 kV power line from a 500 kV substation of Quang Trach Thermal Power Plant to the Doc Soi 500 kV substation (through the territory of Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai and Da Nang City provinces); three optical repeater stations in the middle of the power line to amplify and relay information signals; and three power transmission operation buildings.
