O2 Power commissions its 250-MW solar project in Rajasthan

O2 Power Private Limited has launched commercial operations of its 250-MW solar plantin Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.

The company has stated that the power produced will be sold to the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) at a cost of Rs 2.50 per kW, with SECI selling the power to Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Limited. The plant was commissioned in two phases and is the first solar park owned by O2 Power. The company has plans for two other PV projects in the state totalling 780 MW.
