India’s peak power demand has touched an all-time high of 210.79 GW on June 09, 2022 amid continued heatwave in the country and expanding economic activities.
On June 08, 2022, the peak power demand was recorded at 209.8 GW, which was higher than the previous record of 207.11 GW witnessed on April 29, 2022. The demand is expected to reach 215-220 GW during June 2022.
