ACME announces Rs 525 billion green hydrogen and ammonia project in Tamil Nadu

ACME Group has announced the setting up of a green hydrogen and green ammonia project in Tamil Nadu at an investment of Rs 524.74 billion.

The proposed project includes 5 GW solar power plant, 1.5 GW electrolyser, and 1.1 million tonne of ammonia production capacity. The plant will produce green hydrogen and ammonia, which will help to de-carbonise sectors such as fertilisers, power, refining and steel, among others. The project requires four ingredients – solar radiation, access to port, availability of land and skilled resources. Tamil Nadu offers all of these.
