Tamil Nadu has evacuated an all-time high 120.25 million units (MUs) of wind energy on July 9, 2022.
The state had crossed the 100 MUs mark on July 3, 2022 with 103.96 MUs. Later it evacuated 111.71 MUs on July 5, 2022 and then 120.25 MUs on July 9, 2022. The previous record was 107 MUs registered in 2020. According to data from state load despatch centre, the overall power consumption in Tamil Nadu was 340.399 MUs on July 9, 2022, of which the wind energy was able to meet one-third of the power demand.
