Denmark-based Ørsted has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation Mechanical and Construction (PTSC M&C) to collaborate on the development of offshore wind projects in Vietnam.
The partnership aims to deliver offshore substations for renewable energy projects planned by Ørsted and T&T Group. Some of the priority projects in the pipeline will be located in the central south and northern region in Vietnam. These offshore wind facilities are expected to be operational by 2030. The MoU will help PTSC M&C to develop its capacities for the offshore wind market which is growing in Asia as well as other countries around the world.
