Siemens Gamesa has secured a contract in the Philippines from renewable developer ACEN Corporation.
For the 70 MW Capa wind farm, Siemens Gamesa will supply 14 of its SG 5.0-145 turbines. The wind farm is being constructed in Caparispisan, Ilocos Norte, and is anticipated to start operating in the first quarter of 2024. Additionally, Siemens Gamesa has agreed to provide project operation and maintenance services for a five-year term. To date, Siemens Gamesa has installed 60 per cent of the total wind power capacity in the country.
