Andhra Pradesh to enhance energy installation capacity

The Andhra Pradesh energy department is planning to increase energy installation capacity in the state.

As a part of this plan, the commercial operations of Sri Damodaram Sanjeevaiah thermal power station Stage-II (1×800 MW) are scheduled to start in October 2022. Meanwhile, the commercial operations of Dr Narla Tata Rao thermal power station Stage-V (1×800 MW) is scheduled for February, 2023. This capacity augmentation has been planned as the energy department anticipates that the daily demand may increase to 250 million units by March 2023 in the state.
