Singapore-based independent power producer (IPP) Vena Energy and the green energy arm of Philippine power generator Meralco PowerGen Corporation (MGEN), MGen Renewable Energy, Inc. (MGreen), have launched the construction of 68 MW solar park in the Philippines’ Ilocos Norte province.
The project will be realised through a joint venture formed earlier this year between Vena Energy and MGen Renewable Energy. The partners will aim to energise the photovoltaic (PV) park by the end of 2022 and begin commercial operations by the first quarter of 2023. The capacity will be installed in the municipality of Currimao.
