Ministry of Coal conducts e-auction of eight mines of five states under commercial coal mining auction

The Ministry of Coal has conducted e-auction of eight mines of five states under commercial coal mining auction.

Jaiprakash Power Ventures Limited has emerged as the highest bidder for Bandha North coal mine in Madhya Pradesh, while Madhya Bharat Minerals Private Limited has emerged as the highest bidder for Sursa mine in Chhattisgarh. In Maharashtra, Avassa Ferro Alloys Private Limited was the highest bidder for Dahegaon/Makardhokra-IV mine, and Sobhagya Mercantile Limited was the highest bidder for Marki Mangli-IV mine. In Jharkhand, Terri Mining Private Limited was the highest bidder for Jitpur mine, while Gangaramchak Mining Private Limited was the highest bidder for Basantpur coal block. Meanwhile, Jhar Mineral Resources Private Limited has emerged as the highest bidder for the Rampia and Dip side of Rampia in Odisha. Out of these eight mines, five coal mines are fully explored and three mines are partially explored mines. The total geological reserves for these eight coal mines are 2,157.48 million tonnes (mt). The cumulative peak rate capacity for these coal mines is 19.31 mt per annum.
