Sprng Ojas, Tata Power Renewable Energy, O2 Power and ReNew Solar Power winners of RUMSL’s 750 MW wind-solar hybrid

Sprng Ojas Private Limited, Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited, TEQ Green Power IX Private Limited (O2 Power) and ReNew Solar Power Private Limited were declared winners in Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL) auction for the development of 750 MW wind-solar hybrid power projects in Madhya Pradesh.

Sprng Ojas, Tata Power Renewable Energy, and ReNew Solar Power have been awarded 160 MW, 200 MW, and 300 MW respectively, at a tariff of Rs 3.03 per kWh. TEQ Green Power IX (O2 Power) bid for 150 MW but was only awarded 90 MW at a tariff of Rs 3.04 per kWh. The project must be designed to deliver energy to a substation of the Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company Limited (MPPTCL). The successful bidders will be in charge of obtaining grid connectivity with MPPTCL. They must also make plans for the evacuation and injection of surplus power into the grid at agreed-upon interconnection points with the discoms. They will bear the cost of a dedicated line, including construction, maintenance, and losses from the start of the project to the point of delivery.
