MPPKVVCL to set up 11 new grid stations for service upgrade

Madhya Pradesh Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company Limited (MPPKVVCL) will set up 11 new hi-tech grid-stations in and around Indore to meet increasing demand and improve power distribution services.

The new grid stations with capacity of 33/11 kW each have been planned in the first phase of the centre’s revamped distribution sector scheme (RDSS) at an estimated cost of Rs 235 million in both rural and urban areas of Indore. Of these, seven grid stations will be installed in city areas including Rasoma, Jeet Nagar, Dewas Naka, Aerodrome Road, Super Speciality Hospital, Green Park Colony and Dhar Road. Other four grid stations have been planned in rural parts of the Indore district including Kampel, Badiyakeema, Rajoda and Limbodigiri. Each of these grid stations will be of gas-insulation technology and come with 5 MW capacity. These grid stations will increase overall distribution capacity by 55 MW, and improve power distribution in newly developed colonies as well as in existing ones.
