TNB to supply high-voltage electricity to LRT Shah Alam Line

Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) will collaborate with Prasarana Malaysia Bhd to supply reliable and stable high-voltage electricity to three main switch stations for the light rail transit (LRT) Shah Alam Line in Malaysia.

The collaboration will commence from end the of 2022. The 37.8 km LRT Shah Alam Line is expected to open to passenger traffic by 2025. The project is a part of the Integrated Public Transport Plan for the Greater Klang Valley. The LRT line will have 20 stations and will provide interchanges to existing MRT lines. TNB has been providing high-voltage electricity supply to Prasarana for many key transport systems in Malaysia including the LRT1, Kelana Jaya Line, MRT1 Kajang Line, Putrajaya Line as well as the KL Monorail.
