Al Babtain Power and Telecommunication Company’s Egyptian subsidiary has signed contracts with Elsewedy Electric T&D and Giza Cable Industries Company worth USD24 million and USD28 million respectively.
The scope of work for Elsewedy Electric entails the supply of 400 kV galvanised steel towers for three transmission lines in Morocco. Meanwhile, the scope of work for Giza Cable includes the supply of 500 kV galvanised steel towers for the Egypt and Saudi Arabia electrical interconnection project. The period of contract for both the firms is 12 months.
