Oman’s high voltage grid developer, Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC), has completed the construction of a 220 kV substation in the Wilayat of Ibri.
The substation, developed at a cost of OMR7.5 million, is the first one connected to a solar power plant in Ibri. It will help evacuate renewable energy in line with Oman Vision 2040, which focuses on moving towards renewable energy sources and contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions.
