Electrical Research and Development Association (ERDA) has been adjudged as a recipient of the Mahatma Award Social Good and Impact 2022 by Aditya Birla Group.
The Mahatma Award is supported by Aditya Birla Group and Eternal Gandhi Initiative. ERDA was adjudged for the award in the category – Mahatma Award for Social Good and its Impact for Non-profits, NGOs, Foundations, Charitable Organizations and Social Entrepreneurs. ERDA received this prestigious award for its contribution in the development of MSME sector in Gujarat, contribution to the society during COVID-19, contribution to reduce carbon emissions intensity, skill development, knowledge dissemination and various impactful research and development contribution. ERDA, a not-for-profit professional organisation, established in 1974, was promoted by the electrical industries and state utilities with support from Government of India through CSIR and grant given by the Government of Gujarat.
