Cleantech startup SolarSquare has raised Rs 1 billion Series A funding in a round led by Elevation Capital and LowerCarbon.
The round also saw participation by existing investors Good Capital and Rainmatter as well as angel investors, including Meesho founders. The company, which raised Rs 300 million as seed funding in June 2022, plans to deploy the freshly raised money to take its services pan India in the next 18-24 months. It also intends to launch an in-house non-banking financial company to extend loans to residential solar buyers. SolarSquare designs, installs and finances rooftop solar systems for homes.
