Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (Powergrid) is currently exceuting projects worth around Rs 457 billion, a 66 per cent increase over the Rs 275 billion work-in-hand the company had in same period last year.
The projects being implemented currently include ongoing projects worth Rs 82 billion and new projects worth Rs 235 billion, apart from the projects won under tariff based competitive bidding valued at Rs 140 billion. For the current financial year ending March 2023, Powergrid is working on a capital expenditure plan of Rs 88 billion, a 17.3 per cent increase the last fiscal’s capex target of Rs 75 billion.
