ERDA is accredited by National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) for protocol testing as per the standards under ISO/IEC 17025:2017. ERDA is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratory for communication protocol testing of substation automation devices. This laboratory is equipped with an array of DNV-GL, the Netherlands, and supplied test tools for complete conformance testing of communication protocols as per IEC: 61850 – 5 to 10. ERDA is now authorised to perform IEC 61850 conformance testing in accordance with the users group quality assurance testing program procedures as per globally acceptable UCA International Users Group Edition 2 and 1 Server Accreditation. Hence, ERDA is now capable and competent for testing of intelligent electronic devices (IEDs) / numerical protection relays / bay control units / bay protection units, gateways, transformer tap controller / changer, etc. with IEC 61850 communication protocol.
