PLN to supply solar power for Amazon’s operations in Indonesia

Amazon has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PT PLN) to procure solar energy to power the company’s operations in Indonesia.

The energy will be sourced from four renewable energy facilities located in Bali and Java. This move is part of Amazon’s goal of achieving net-zero for its global operations by 2040. It will also support the Government of Indonesia’s goal of speeding up the transition to clean energy through collaboration between the private and public sectors.
